The first prehistoric family is prepared for another swaying venture! The Croods have made it through fanged beasts, natural disasters, as well as youthful love, and this time they must confront their greatest challenge so far: another family! In hunt of a new dwelling, the Croods find a fortress paradise put together by the innovative Betterman family ( emphasis on the "better" ). Character Biographies
GRUG
Grug is the stubborn provider and over protecting dad of the Croods household. Under the tough cave man exterior is a big hearted, over sentimental dad whose dream is nothing more than to keep his family pack together. Grug's insecurities and fears are revealed when the Croods come across a more progressed family, Known as the Bettermans
( emphasis on the "better" ).
UGGA
Ugga is the calm to Grug's temper and the affection of the Croods household. Ugga is broad-minded and acceptive, but once another family threatens to separate her family pack, she instantly changes into the ultimate wild cave mom.
EEP
Independent, strong and fearless, Eep is a typical teen daughter who's experiencing her very first love with a boy called Guy. But Eep's confidence in her partnership with Guy is jolted when Guy unexpectedly reconnects with his past.
GUY
Guy is the love-sick sweetheart of Eep as well as an honorary fellow member of the Croods family pack. Although Guy is in love with Eep, he is not in love with the Croods' way of life. But when he abruptly reconnects with his previous past, he begins to question his future.
THUNK
Thunk is his father's greatest fan. What Thunk is lacking in intelligence, he compensates for in enthusiasm. He likes the simple things in life like eating food, playing with his dog, and not being food.
SANDY
Half baby, part ferine canine, Sandy is the child of the Croods family. Do not let her adorably cute smile fool you, she does bite!
GRAN
Gran is a sassy, spit-fire mother in law who really loves a good family tussle, but once the Croods and Bettermans begin fighting, she has to step up to unify them by showing her ancient knowledge and rock hard ab muscles.
PHIL BETTERMAN
Phil Betterman is a man of high intelligence, an even higher man bun, and also the father of a modern-day family. Because of their many inventions, the Betterman's live a lifestyle of ease and comfort behind a massive protective wall. Phil views himself as the next step on the evolutionary ladder and is also convinced that cave men like Grug are a thing of the past.
HOPE
Hope is as snuggly wound as the enormous braids on her head. As the mom of the Betterman's family, Hope prides herself on knowing every little thing - most importantly of all what's best for her little girl. But Hope's quest into the chaotic wild with the Crood's shows her that the walls she put together to safeguard her family from the outside world also enclosed them off from each other.
DAWN
Dawn is the one and only offspring of the Betterman's. Protected by her strict over protective parents, she has never been allowed to go beyond the safety of their protective wall. As the awkward home schooled young girl, Dawn is thrilled to see other teenagers for the very first time. Through Eep's encouragement and a journey with the Crood's, Dawn embraces her crazy side and at last finds her voice and the courageousness to be herself.
BELT
Belt is a three toed sloth who is Guy's buddy and constant loyal friend, that is until he ends up being distracted by the allurement of a new female counterpart, known as Sash..
SASH
Sash is Dawn's family pet sloth and trusted loyal friend. Provided to Dawn by her mother to keep her safe and sound, Sash gets distracted in her duties when she meets up with the good looking new sloth called Belt.
